Building on SOG's long tradition of working with and honoring Japanese knife makers, SOG partnered with Kiku Matsuda, one of the foremost tactical knife designers and blade grinders in Japan, to produce a line of knives. This partnership produced the Kiku knife series, which features a quick, spring-assisted, high-end satin-finish CPM-S-35VN blade showcasing Matsuda's trademark and distinctive blade grinds. SOG Assisted Technology (S.A.T) works through the balance of opposing high-tension coil springs. As you initiate the opening action, the force propelling your blade open becomes greater than the force keeping it closed. The result is a blade that springs open instantly once it is engaged, seemingly on its own. The handle is constructed from a full-length stainless steel inlay with elegant Canvas Micarta handle scales that are rugged and easy to clean. With lanyard hole and detachable clip (tip-up).
