I wanted a simple two mag pouch, and got it for very little money. Great value. Should be great in foul weather, since it is waterproof. You could carry lots of other small besides ammo: survival tin, sewing/repair kit etc. Since it is so inexpensive, you wouldn't worry about thorn marks and the like.
