            The Fenix PD25R is the long-awaited successor to the PD25.             The body of the Fenix PD25R flashlight is made of hardened aluminum, subjected to the HA-III hard anodizing process, making the flashlight's barrel and head resistant to scratches, abrasion, and mechanical damage. The milled aluminum surface improves grip and prevents the flashlight from slipping out of your hand. The optics are protected by a discreet crown, which protects the glass during a fall and allows the flashlight to be used for self-defense. The flashlight is handy and lightweight, with a length of 92 mm and a battery weight of only 78 g, which is about the size of a Victorinox Swiss army knife. Thanks to the bi-directional (detachable) clip, the torch can be easily attached to the visor of a cap, in a pocket or backpack strap. The flashlight has a high IP68 rating, so it is resistant to dust, complete immersion in water to a depth of 2 meters, and fall from a height of 1 meter.

            The light source is a new-generation LUMINUS SST20 LED, which emits a maximum light output of 800 lumens (in turbo mode) at a distance of up to 250 m. The cool neutral light color reduces eyestrain, and provides more natural color rendering and better visibility of details. The torch uses anti-reflective glass with high light transmission and a smooth SMO reflector, allowing the torch to illuminate objects more than 200 m away. The Fenix PD25R has a relatively evenly split beam of light, meaning a narrow leakage and a fairly wide beam, making the flashlight excellent for various outdoor activities including hiking, camping, etc, etc.

          The flashlight uses a rechargeable 16340 Fenix ARB-L16-700P Fenix ARB-L16-700P battery, which can also be replaced with a CR123A disposable battery. The Fenix PD25R has a built-in USB-C port, which allows cell charging without the need for an additional charger. For charging, all you need is a standard USB-C cable (included) and a power source, such as a power bank, laptop, desktop computer, or USB car charger. The port is accessed by partially unscrewing the head. Such a solution effectively protects the USB-C port from moisture and dirt and, of course, allows us to charge the battery while traveling in the car, on the train, etc.

             According to the manufacturer's information, the ARB-L16-700 rechargeable battery provides up to 70 hours of continuous operation in 5-lumen eco mode, which means that in an emergency the Fenix PD25R will provide us with economical light for up to 3 days. In turbo mode, the flashlight emits a maximum output of 800 lumens. The total run time in turbo mode is approximately 44 minutes.

            The flashlight offers 5 continuous light modes: turbo, high, medium, low, eco and 1 flash mode: strobe . This allows you to precisely adjust the light parameters to the situation and your own needs. To operate the flashlight, there are two buttons located on the side and back. The metal side switch is used to change brightness and activate strobe mode. The rubberized tactical switch on the back of the body is responsible for activating the moment light as well as turning the flashlight on and off. It only takes a few minutes to learn this interface, making the PD25R flashlight extremely easy to use and user friendly.
            The PD25R0 flashlight uses an LED indicator in the side button to inform the user of the battery discharge level. The built-in LED indicates the current battery level each time the flashlight is turned on. The battery level indicator flashes red to remind you to charge or replace the battery. These functions only work with the Fenix ARB-L16-700P 16340 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The flashlight remembers the last brightness level used.

            When you turn it on again, the flashlight automatically activates in this mode (memory function). The flashlight also features IPO (intelligent overheat protection), which protects the surface of the flashlight from overheating (max. 60°C)
