Created over thousands of years, shaped by the immense power of water: even in ancient Egypt, alluvial soils were considered an auspicious blessing for bountiful harvests. Sediment erosion created extremely nutrient-rich young soils along coasts, rivers or lakes, which Justin Lundquist describes as the source of his idea for the impressive Boker Plus Alluvial All Black. The nature-loving knife designer from the USA has been fascinated by knives since he was four years old and has been successfully implementing his own designs since 2013. Flooded with inspiration, in this first joint project with Boker, he suspends the laws of nature and brings new life to the world of automatic knives with the slim Gentleman Folder. The clippoint blade made of D2 is opened as well as unlocked by push button. The push button and blade axle screw are embedded in the aluminum handle, giving the thumb additional grip during use. The solidified alluvial base is cited by the front, mostly smooth handle section, while the fine texturing in the rear handle section picks up on the inflowing sediment. The bound tip-up (r) clip allows for deep carry and rounds out the discreetly earthy appearance of the automatic knife.
