Description
A few years ago, tactical expert Ed Calderon managed to hold one of his most famous training courses at TOPS Knives, and after a few discussions, he and TOPS President Leo Espinoza concluded that a knife designed by Ed and manufactured by TOPS would be epic. Thus was born El Pionero, a tactical knife based on the design of a vegetable knife. Equipped with a 1095 carbon steel blade, the knife is suitable for both everyday and tactical use. The finger recess in the Micarta handle allows for multiple grip techniques when it counts. Supplied with a custom-fit Kydex sheath.
Warnings and safety information:
- Cutting injuries: the most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
- Knife slippage: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injury.
- Injuries from falling: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
- Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury because they require more force and can slip more easily. Therefore, knives should be properly sharpened regularly.
- Incorrect use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but can also lead to accidents.
