Description

On closer inspection, truly remarkable and eye-catching products often conceal an extraordinary story, and it is a blessing that companies like TOPS dare to turn such stories into products that transcend the mainstream.

Since childhood, martial arts specialist Sijo Waysun Johnny Tsai has been fascinated by the Ninja character Snake Eyes from Hasbro's G.I. Joe franchise, which has appeared in games, comics, and movies. Inspired by Snake Eyes' katana, Sijo spent a long time thinking about an optimal functional sword that could be used both as a weapon and as a jungle sword, thus serving as a full replacement for an axe and machete.

The result is the two-handed Cuma Kage, with an overall length of 24" (61 cm), which Sijo determined after years of training to be the optimal length for swords, batons, and clubs. The blade, widened in the front third and made of shock-resistant 1095 carbon steel, has perfect balance and features three deep, stepped grooves, separated from each other.

The double-layer canvas micarta handle scales in a black and brown color combination are attached to the robust full tang with four hex screws. The machete achieves full practicality thanks to a precisely fitting Kydex sheath with a dangler.

Even comic artist Robert Atkins uses the Cuma Kage as a model for Snake Eyes’ sword in the new GI Joe comics.

Warnings and safety information:

  • Cutting injuries: the most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
  • Knife slippage: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injury.
  • Injuries from falling: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
  • Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury because they require more force and can slip more easily. Therefore, knives should be properly sharpened regularly.
  • Incorrect use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but can also lead to accidents.
