The Glock FM81 is a large military knife with a fixed blade, which, thanks to its durability and functionality, is ideal for survival and hiking applications.
The FM81 is an improved version of the FM78 knife, additionally equipped with a serrated blade (saw) on the upper part of the blade.
Military knife with wood saw
The knife has a hidden-tang construction, which combines strength, low weight, and comfort in use. The narrow clip-point blade is made of spring steel, heat treated to approximately 55 HRC. Although the sharpness retention is lower, this is excellently compensated by the ease of sharpening, so that the blade can be resharpened in the field with a regular pocket sharpener. The entire surface of the blade is covered with a phosphate coating, which protects against corrosion and prevents reflections. On the upper part of the blade there is a false edge for increased penetration power, as well as a saw with alternating teeth, which can efficiently cut wood, bone, rope, or plastic.
Polymer handle with guard on both sides
The handle is made of the same polymer used by the Austrian company to make Glock pistol frames. This material absorbs shocks well and is non-slip, providing a comfortable and secure grip together with the contoured shape of the handle. At the back of the handle there is a hole that allows a safety cord to be attached.
